What emotion do you want people to feel/experience when they arrive at your homepage?

That might be calm, intrigued, excited, inspired, reassured, comforted.

Just write down what comes to mind.

Imagine someone opening up your website what do you want them to feel?

What will your website do for you? What is the main objective of the site?

Is it going to give information?

A place to explore content from different sources?

Blog?

Sell prodcuts? If you know what those products are then great, it may just be an idea that you would like to sell at the moment.

Write down some of the colours that resonate with these emotions and this objective.

Once you are able to see your colour palette you can pick or create imagery to compliment it through your site creating brand cohesion.
